Why do brands fail?

They fail for many reasons, but a big one is that they weren’t built to compete in the new economy. Too often, business, marketing, and branding strategists look back when they should be looking ahead. Instead of innovating and differentiating, they waste time repeating what worked for them in the old economy.

Mr. Lim will show you how to go from profit plateau to exponential revenue growth through strategic branding and business structuring. He’ll show you the importance of building and maintaining an Authentic Brand that streamlines your brand’s channels into one clear, authoritative voice.

Using real-life client case studies, Mr. Lim will demonstrate how your brand can engage new and existing customers through innovative Touchpoints without losing them to your competition.

Key Takeaways:

  • Revamp your brand vision by learning how to use it to make the world a better place
  • Rebuild your Brand Architecture to be unique and innovative
  • Study customer profiles to discover your customer base’s psychographics
  • Discover how to make sales with pull-through sales models
  • Accelerate your profits by creating multiple revenue streams

How to Rise Above Your Competition

Seminar Description:

A brand must stand for something to be truly successful. One of the most important aspects of differentiation is how a brand is positioned against its competitors in the marketplace. The clearer your position, the more likely you’ll stand out from the pack in the consumer’s mind. As the visual representation of your business, a thoughtful, effective brand can boost sales, increase shareholder value, and reinforce your relevancy in the marketplace.

Mr. Lim will demonstrate how to define your brand promise to customers and buyers. He’ll show you what it takes to rise above the clutter in the marketplace and how to gain a competitive edge and maintain a winning strategy, no matter the product or service.

Drawing from real-world client case studies, Mr. Lim will detail how to turn your business into a unique brand that not only stands for something but stands out from your competitors while simultaneously creating a thriving company culture and memorable experience for your buyers and customers.

Key Takeaways:

  • Revamp your brand position to grow your customer base and increase revenues
  • Develop a world-class brand strategy that makes your brand stand out
  • Create a thriving company culture to attract and retain quality employees
  • Avoid common branding mistakes that prevent your brand from being distinctive
  • Learn how to convey your unique purchase proposition in today’s market

HOW CREATIVE Client Case Studies

In his workshops, presentations, events, and seminars, Mr. Lim uses client case studies from his 35-plus years of experience building brands and designing businesses from the inside-out . Below are just a few examples:

Vets For You

Despite its noble mission, Vets For You, a caused-based plumbing and HVAC company, came across as a cut-rate service provider. With no effective sales, business, or marketing systems in place, the company stagnated, unable to grow its revenue or attract quality employees.

After receiving a new business model and Brand Identity, Vets For You saw revenues go from less than $100,000 to over $4 million per year. With an effective system in place for business growth, marketing, and sales, they continue to expand operations, acquiring another local HVAC company, and actively on the hunt to acquire more businesses to continue growing their market share.

CopperRidge

Skilled nursing facility CopperRidge was losing out to larger facilities dominating the market. With a generic and dated Brand Identity, they needed to find a way to highlight its unique position in the industry.

After a highly-successful rebranding that included sophisticated marketing and publicity campaigns as well as radio, billboard, and digital advertising, CopperRidge went on to become the number one referred skilled nursing facility in its area, earning a five-star Medicare rating. Along with the sharp increase in brand value, equity, and revenue, a strong and vibrant company culture was created, resulting in better staff retention, productivity, and engagement.

WSS

Because of the 2008 recession, athletic footwear retailer WSS lost 10% of its gross annual profits for three consecutive years. Concerned about its future, WSS considered closing its brick-and-mortar stores and moving its business exclusively online.

In designing and positioning a new business model and Brand Identity for WSS, Mr. Lim helped push retail revenue to over $1 billion and increased e-commerce profits by over 1,500%. In addition to reinforcing its relationship with its primary demographic, WSS strengthened its partnerships with key vendors, including Nike, Adidas, and Vans. Down to 52 stores at the time, WSS grew to over 100 stores nationwide in less than seven years and continues to open new stores each year.

Flying Dutchman

The Bahamas-based Flying Dutchman liquor store chain had seen zero growth over a 40-year period. The Brand Identity was dated and out of touch, the stores rundown, and the company failed to capitalize on its name or region’s association with rum.

After rebranding and the repositioning of its business model, Flying Dutchman experienced a sharp increase in brand awareness and value, boosting its customer base and private label growth. With multiple sources of revenue from its brick-and-mortar stores and online presence, Flying Dutchman opened six franchise stores in under three years and was eventually sold profitably to new ownership.

The City of Los Angeles Marathon

The annual event had failed to establish a unique Brand Identity and needed an overhaul that gave the brand a fresh appeal and new energy. To make matters worse, the event’s media budget had been reduced.

Thanks to innovative rebranding, the LA Marathon enjoyed a significant boost in brand value and business revenues. The bold new design increased brand awareness and proved to be the key factor in attracting a record number of runners, attendees, and event vendors. The sold-out event drew 23,000 participants and proved to be the largest and most successful marathon in its 15-year history.

Stander

Having secured a strong niche in the durable medical equipment industry, Stander extended its vision to the mass retail market and quickly learned their business, branding, and marketing strategies needed revamping. While its products were ready for mass distribution, its brand position held it back.

Connecting business and branding strategies, Mr. Lim developed a brand image with a unique identity that readily connected with buyers. The result was a remarkable 32% increase in sales in just seven months and a slew of new accounts with mass retailers, including Walmart, Costco, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, and Amazon.

opticwash

A kiosk machine that washes eyewear, opticwash was a modern, technology-driven solution to a common problem. Still, the client needed guidance in creating a sustainable and profitable business model and didn’t know how to market their innovative product.

Combining business development with innovative branding and marketing, Mr. Lim took the opticwash kiosk from prototype to worldwide distribution in under three years. Because of Mr. Lim’s creative branding efforts, opticwash quickly became a brand leader. The world’s first automated kiosk dedicated to cleaning eyewear, opticwash has gone on to expand into malls, airports, car washes, military locations, and other markets.
